About the World Superyacht Awards 2019 Attended by the who's who of the luxury yachting world, 600 guests including superyacht owners, designers, top shipyard executives and ultra-high net worth individuals will gather in London for the 14th annual World Superyacht Awards, in association with Oyster Yachts. Returning to London in May 2019 after almost a decade taking in stops including Amsterdam, Istanbul and Florence, the event celebrates the finest superyachts delivered during the previous year. The World Superyacht Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 18 May 2019 in the heart of the City, in Old Billingsgate. Throughout the three day programme our guests will join us for a curated set of quintessentially luxurious experiences running from Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 May. The social activities will commence on Thursday with early arrivals choosing from one of two tailored events - a day of Golf at the exclusive St George's Hill club, or a country day and clay shooting experience at West Wycombe House. On Friday guests will have the opportunity to relive the Golden Age of Travel aboard the iconic Belmond British Pullman, sister train to the Venice-Simplon Orient Express, before joining us for cocktails, canapes and entertainment during our Welcome Party, hosted at the historic Kensington Palace. Cultural activities and bespoke experiences, offering behind the scenes glimpses and exclusive access to 'London life', will keep guests entertained during Saturday, offering networking and fun with fellow guests. The main event will take place on the evening of Saturday 18 May. Gathering at historic Old Billingsgate, guests will be welcomed with a champagne reception, followed by dinner, fabulous entertainment and the awards themselves. All the 2019 award winning superyachts will be announced during the ceremony, giving owners, design teams and yacht builders the chance to take the stage to collect their coveted Neptune trophy.

Mr. Brant has long been active in support of major museums and has made major financial donations in the past 10 years to The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim and The Glass House. He is a member of the advisory council of The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, serves on the art advisory board at Hunter College, New York, NY, and is a member of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art’s Visiting Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. A former trustee of both the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, in 2013 Mr. Brant was awarded an American Art Award by the Whitney Museum of American Art for his commitment to the arts. In 2015 Mr. Brant was honored by the New York Academy of Art and in addition, received the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award for his commitment to arts and philanthropy.

Under the stewardship of Art Basel’s Global Director, Marc Spiegler, the 2014 show in Basel, Switzerland, attracted 98,000 visitors over six days. It presented 284 galleries from 33 countries, exhibiting the work of over 4,000 artists. A total of 14 galleries showed in Basel for the very first time. Alongside private collectors from Europe, America, and Asia, representatives and groups from over 80 museums and institutions from across the world were in attendance.
